Collaborating with Thrive Architecture 

Set in a larger context of banal office buildings and chain restaurants, this 8,000+sf spec office building eschews typical ribbon windows and/or formal heroics in favor of simple volumes and a rich material palette.  The low-slung building features dark masonry walls as the primary cladding material.  Warm, tongue and groove cypress boards wrap walls and overhangs along the planted front walk, receiving visitors and signifying entry points. The solid cypress entry canopy gives way to cypress slats that allow sunlight to filter down to the planting beds. Several key large windows were strategically located to encourage tenant connection to the outdoors.
