This Sears model home, called the Puritan, was shipped to Hamden, CT “Already Cut” and fitted, and it was assembled in 1928. Though a quality structure and an efficient 4-square design at the time, the home had since fallen into disrepair and neglect. BHA completely gutted it, updated the interior to accommodate a more open, modern lifestyle, added all new electrical & plumbing, added a new roof, and revitalized the grounds - all within a limited budget.  In our continued effort to reduce our environmental impact, recycled materials were used wherever possible; heartwood pine - no longer usable as flooring - was planed and repurposed as wall cladding.
