The primary suite for this log cabin was in need of an update and some more efficient storage and space planning.  Careful attention was placed on combining modern detailing and planning w/ traditional materials so as to enhance the character of the existing cabin.  The removal of an existing under-appreciated Jacuzzi tub allowed for a generous walk-in shower with a teak bench, ideal for aging in place.  A new wall-hung toilet was placed in its own alcove, increasing user privacy & sanitation.  Unused tongue and groove pine from the cabin’s original construction was planed and installed on walls and dropped ceilings, bringing additional warmth and character to the space.  The main vanity counter top is a live edge black walnut slab saved from a sick tree that was slated for removal on a local estate.
