Primary Suite Renovation: Blundell Project

The primary suite for this log cabin renovation was in need of an update to improve efficient storage space planning and overall functionality. Careful attention was placed on combining modern detailing with traditional materials to enhance the character of the existing cabin. The removal of an under-appreciated Jacuzzi tub allowed for a generous walk-in shower with a teak bench, ideal for aging in place. A new wall-hung toilet was placed in its own alcove, increasing user privacy and sanitation. Unused tongue and groove pine from the cabin’s original construction was planed and installed on walls and dropped ceilings, bringing additional warmth and character to the space. The main vanity counter top is a live edge black walnut slab saved from a sick tree that was slated for removal on a local estate.
